CHICAGO HOT GLASS
So I was watching this show about Chicago tonight and saw that there is a place in Chicago where you can learn how to blow glass…this is something I have always wanted to try. Anything involving heat I love; lost wax casting, forging, welding, and now hopefully glass blowing.

casey actually took quite a few glass blowing classes in seattle. he seemed to enjoy them. you should ask him about it if you’re really interested…
ASSISTANCE-GLASS SCULPTING & GLASS MOSAIC
Unique 6′ fiberglass sea turtle-to be clad in cut glass mosaic & blown/sculpted sea life. Project is for Vero Beach Mental Health Association installation. This turtle will be installed in front of the
prestigious Vero Beach Museum of Fine Art for 6 months.

Project includes assisting in ‘spun out’ glass plates, cutting & installing glass mosaic to turtle & base, grouting, assisting in sculpting glass sea creatures & glass coral. Turtle will have internal lighting system installed to be illuminated in Dichroic colors at night.
No glass experience required. Project to be worked on from now until mid-September delivery. Any time available is accepted, Schedule flexible.
