Well I have been out of the loop for a bit ever since I moved to Canada, I missed the whole 5 blade revolution, the superbowl, and a bunch of other worthless marketing… i was reading one of my favorite web comics the other day and saw an ad for DeadBatteries.com and had to check it out…and BOY OH BOY! amd I glad I did….
Seriously…am I missing something? Is there really a need for batteried that have artsy labels?? It appears that you can submit your own design for the labels on the wrapping of AA batteries…I think the idea is kind of cool, but what the hell is the point? Is there something I am missing? Is there large groups of teens who gather and show each other batteries? What products do you even have anymore that use AA batteries? No one uses a pager anymore, no one uses a walkman, we all have ipods. Most digital cameras use rechargeable or propritary batteries as do cell phones….are battery companies noticing a drop in sales and feel the need to reach out to new markets by rebranding?
Seriously, I am missing something? WTF?

hi werty – thanks for the pub…as for your puzzlement regarding what product could possibly use ‘aa’ batteries…?…
…ask your ex-girlfriend…buzz, buzz, buzz…
Hahaha, thanks for the comment. She actually used “c” batteries…
So people still use AA batteries but why do we need them with designer/artsy labels? Most the time the batteries are tucked away inside of a product never to be seen, until they are changed and thrown into the landfill…
You should try and make 9volt batteries because guitar players may want custom ones (used in effects stomp boxes) for their band or what not.
