I have not updated this site in a very very very long time. I have been very busy of the last few years rehabbing an old storefront into a house and building a business.
This about sums it up: My prized werty.net coaster stuck to my glass the other day and fell and shattered. How sad. That is similar to this site.

If you live in some sort of building with a metal deck, over the years it will probably start to develop rust spots, and eventually peels and chips.
Mine had poor drainage so water would sit on it, collect and eventually rust the metal. Parts of it were starting to flake so I knew it was time to get it taken care of.

I have had my eye on the Roomba for a while, and have read many reviews. I was not fully convinced to try one, until I saw my first cleaning experience in person when my business partner purchased his refurbished Roomba from woot.com.

I am still up from the night before and working at my business partners house, and we started to hear birds sing???
This is crazy it is not even 2am here.
I made a similar observation years ago in this post about birds singing early, but that was at 2:45. They are getting earlier.

As you know, I am no stranger to reviewing Dyson products (Dyson DC14, Dyson Air Multiplier). I have always been fascinated by the way they look and I love that they brought a cool (a yellow vacuum is cool when the rest are grey) and functional design into an industry that never seemed like it was going to be updated.

Just wanted to give a quick shout out to a charity I support: One Tail at a Time Chicago. One Tail is a dog rescue that is in Chicago and run by a couple of great people who love dogs. Every Easter and Christmas they do a photo shoot with dogs to raise money for their shelter.

I decided to make eggs and toast for lunch today, and nearly burnt down my house… well not really, but I did end up ruining my toaster oven and made a mess in my kitchen.
Here is how to properly start and put out a toaster oven fire:

I have been very stressed out. There has been a lot going on lately, and it has been forever since I updated.
It seems like I am no longer in control of my days. They just come and go and stack a large pile of whatever it is in front of me. Enough to keep me busy or annoyed and with my “eye no longer on the prize”.

Ever since I moved back to the city I have crazy busy. I have been working some long days…like 10am until 1:30am… last week I went a bit crazy and was up until 5 am 2-3 nights brainstorming some new ideas, as well as re-addressing some old ones. One night I laid out plans for 6 sites, including logo ideas, slogans, and community features.

So it has been a long time since I have updated things around here… a long time. Anyhow I am semi moved in… I just moved back to the city. I like it a ton so far, but I miss a few things about the burbs…

Today I turned 29. It was the same as 28 but with a wicked hangover.
I went out last night to a Lithuanian Restaurant, had amazing food and tons to drink. Then played some darts and was hoisted in my chair 29 times. Today I felt the pain of last nights events, and swore off drinking for at least 24 hours.

They have a sense of humor…
I was forgot I scanned this awesome picture the other day. It is from the anti static bag they put a laptop in (you can see my laptop in the background). It shows some helpless little cartoon character who had enough of the living world, and is deciding to enter the dying world. The little shit puts a bag over his head, and chokes himself with his hand.

Last weekend I received a Good Housekeeping Magazine (april 2007 issue) from my sister as some sort of weird surprise. There is a woman on the cover who lost 102 lbs and I thought my sister was trying to hint that I am a some sort of fat fuck… which I don’t deny.

Things have been crazy for me. Work is going well and I have been really busy, which is good.
Some big news has happened for some friends of mine. A few nights ago my son Sami and his gf Maria had a sweet baby boy. They have yet to name him, which is a common thing in Finland (so they say??). Little Werty is quite cute. I am convinced if if keep calling him that it may stick.

Let me start the review by saying I am getting paid to do it. This only motivates me to do the review, the opinions in the review are indeed my own. Like most of the sites I review I will pick apart the various things I hate or like about it more so than some fluffy this is what the site is about…on that note Halloween Express is about costumes, Halloween and otherwise.

Yeah I know I bitch a lot, but I do not care. This little rant is about why I think FedEx sucks…
So as you may have read I was in Canada for about 5 days and I was expecting a new computer to arrive. Dell built it too fast! Anyhow it was sent via FedEx and I made arrangements so that they would not leave it on my porch while I was gone.

For those of you who run a home office and occasionally need to send a fax I have found the following solution to be a really cost effective one, and will only cost you around $10 in fees to set up and should be enough to send around 90 faxes for that $10, which for me is more than a years worth of faxes. You will need a computer, a printer, and a scanner for this to work properly. Right now I see a mix of companies allowing faxes or email attachments, and I am guessing one day all “faxing” could be done through email attachments and for “free”.

I got a kick out of this email. I signed up for health insurance when I moved back to the wonderful US of A 6 months ago. Oddly enough I have never been to the doctor or anything along those lines since I returned, so I was thinking it would be something about how to actually get what you are paying for out of the shitty insurance that I bought…to my suprise is it was an email trying to upsell me on 2 services that I could purchase through eHealthInsurance.com and actually had nothing to do with my BlueCross BlueShield policy I signed up with. Sneaky little pricks.

I guess I coined the phrase meat coma on 8.26.06 at 11:07am (Chicago standard time)
The meat coma can be defined as the tired state a person is put in when they consume too much meat.
Usage: Wow those three steaks were delicious, but I think I am slipping into a meat coma.

In Paris, Aaron and I went to this giant rock festival called Rock en Seine, which was held in a suburb of Paris accessible by the subway, or by a taxi. It was miles outside of the downtown area and would be holding a large outdoor music festival with probably 40-50,000 ticket holders. It seems like both the planners and the city of Paris did a shit job preparing for this huge musical event. Here are some examples of why Paris needs to remove their head from their ass if they plan to have a successful outdoor music festival again:

I feel warn down after a week of traveling. camping, consulting, and being pampered. I feel physically and mentally tired but I feel like I have seen and lived more in this last week then in the previous 20 odd years of my life. I learned a lot about myself and I think a lot about others, or at least the way I do, or should interact with them. I had lots of time to reflect on myself and the situations I wind up in, found happiness, loneliness, sadness, and fulfillment all in the same week.

I was in the need for a new bed and I decided to splurge a little and get a memory foam mattress. I have been researching foam mattress online for quite a while and have heard mostly good things about visco-elastic memory foam mattresses. All was good with these except for the price. Lucky for me my new job gave us Costco memberships…so I checked out there site and saw that they had Novaform Memory Foam mattresses in their online catalog. With a little bit more research I decided to purchase one. I would have gotten it right from the costco store, but they only had queen size beds, and I wanted to stick with a full/double size since all of my bedding was already that size.

It has to have been a few months, but my grandpa was put into a nursing home. His legs would go out on him and he would hit the ground. Not Good. Well he has been going through therapy, gotten used to a wheel chair, things like that and is doing a bit better. There is a rumor that he will be able to come home in a few weeks. Now normally i should be happy about this, but I think it is really bad. Him and my grandma live in a standard chicago style bungaloo, if you do not know the style, there are stairs that lead to the main florr, and stairs that lead to the basement. The doors are small and it will be hard for a wheel chair to manuver around…not good. I guess it would make sense if my grandma was ripped like little richard sandrak, but she is not. So I do not know how they are going to handle all of the problems of getting him in and out of the chair, up and down the stairs, etc. etc. etc.

So my buddy Jake got me into playing Texas Holdem, and I started to play all the time. A few buddies and I decided to make a Texas Holdem table and we have been searching to get nice casino quality poker table felt. I have no idea where to look, I would like to feel the poker table felt in person before I placed an order to some online poker supply store. I dunno, If anyone has some suggestions leave me a comment.

Pocket Kangaroos: smallest penis in Chicago:
It has come to my attention that I currently work with the smallest penis in Chicago. Through various sources at Google, as well as Ali at Blue Lithium, this story has been confirmed many times. In fact, the only positive thing said about this young gentleman came from an unknown lady at Baci Pizza.

I found a website about Ronald Reagan called God-Bless-America.us
I’m not sure what to make of it. It’s got a big banner at the top with Ronald Reagan’s picture on it. But it’s called God Bless America. It even has the lyrics to God Bless America. Who makes this stuff? What are they trying to accomplish offering Ronald Reagan quotes on a website called God Bless America?

So my sisters boyfriend has a Chicago SkateBoarding company.
The best skatepark in chicago is the Wilson skatyepark, located at Wilson and Lakeshore. In no way is it a substitute for skating authentic street spots in chicago, but if you enjoy skating transitions, specifically cement transitions, it is the best in Chicago.

My Sisters boyfriend has started a new skateboard company called Adult Skateboards. I guess they are going to be old school designs, meaning they are like older shaps; wider, fishtails, etc, but with cooler modern designs. I think they are made to appeal to people who have skated for years and want something different. You can chekc out his site by going to the following URL:

I am not sure what just happened, but I felt something weird that lasted for about 2-3 seconds. The windows were shaking and the ground was vibrating. It was very strange, sounded like someone ran across my roof. I did some searches on google, but could not find anything. Maybe tomorrow I will hear more about it. Either way it was very Interesting if I want I could worry a ton about it, but I won’t.

Not long ago and far away, Santa was getting ready for his annual trip…but there were problems everywhere.
Four of his elves got sick, and the trainee elves didn’t produce the toys as fast as the regular ones, so Santa was beginning to feel the pressure of being behind schedule.
Then Mrs. Claus told Santa that her Mom was coming to visit. This stressed Santa even more.
When he went to harness the reindeer, he found that three of them were about to give birth and two had jumped the fence and were out…heaven knows where to. More Stress!
Then when he began to load the sleigh, one of the boards cracked and the toy bag fell to the ground and scattered the toys.
Totally frustrated, Santa went into the house for a cup of coffee and a shot of whiskey. When he went to the cupboard, he found the elves had hid the liquor and there was nothing to drink.
In his frustration, he dropped the coffee pot and it broke into hundreds of little pieces all over the kitchen floor. He went to get the broom and found that mice had eaten the straw it was made from. Just then the doorbell rang and Santa cussed on his way to the door. He opened the door and there was a little angel with a great big Christmas tree. The angel said: “Where would you like me to put this tree fat man?”
